EXPERT PACKAGE GUIDANCE

Trek Booking & Package FAQ

Everything you need to know about booking deposits, solo travel, gear rentals, altitude safety, and package inclusions.

Yes! Over 40% of our guests travel solo. You can join one of our guaranteed small-group departures (max 10 trekkers per group) or choose a 100% private solo trek with your dedicated Sherpa guide.

Room Share Policy: We pair solo travellers with a same-gender roommate in teahouse lodges so you never pay a single supplement fee!

We require a flexible 15% deposit per person at the time of booking to secure mountain flight tickets (e.g., Lukla/Jomsom), teahouse room reservations, and official trekking permits (TIMS & Sagarmatha/Annapurna). The remaining balance is payable upon arrival in Kathmandu before departure.

Flexible Dates & Lifetime Deposit: Date changes are 100% free up to 30 days prior to departure!

Absolutely! Best Treks Nepal provides high-quality -20°C goose down sleeping bags and expedition down jackets for loan to all our package guests at no extra fee. Additional gear like trekking poles, daypacks, and headlamps can be rented or purchased in Thamel upon arrival.

Safety is our #1 priority. All lead Sherpa guides are Wilderness First Aid certified and carry Pulse Oximeters for twice-daily blood oxygen checks. If AMS symptoms occur, your guide will manage immediate descent. For severe emergencies, our 24/7 Kathmandu operations center coordinates instant satellite helicopter rescue evacuation.

Our packages cover airport pickups/drop-offs, 3-star Kathmandu hotels, domestic mountain flights/jeeps, 3 fresh meals daily on trail, teahouse accommodation, licensed Sherpa guides, 1 porter per 2 trekkers, all permits & taxes, and a farewell cultural dinner.

We offer treks for every fitness level! Beginner routes (like Ghorepani Poon Hill or Mardi Himal) require basic walking fitness. High-pass routes (like Everest Three Passes or Thorong La Pass) require solid cardiovascular endurance. We recommend 4–6 weeks of stair climbing, running, or weekend hiking prior to departure.
